The Red Ribbon Dance Project was founded in 2009 by Traves Butterworth in collaboration with UCSD AIDS Research Institute at University of California, San Diego. Each year Butterworth Dance invites guest artist to perform at this event. All proceeds go to support the UC San Diego AIDS Research Institute’s education, outreach, and research programs, including purchasing much-needed equipment and supplies for clinicians and scientists, and providing community education and support for clinical care programs.
